JOURNEY OF THE LIBERATED LAMB: Reflections on A Vegetarian Seder
by Roberta Kalechofsky
illus. pbk. 24 pgs
Description
Jewish worship and rituals for a vegetarian seder are told by the lamb who accompanies the Jewish people throughout their historic journey. Sacrifice of animals was not the first mode of worship among the Patriarchs. Our journey begins when Abraham celebrates his vision of The Eternal by planting a tamarisk tree near Beer-Sheva. It is the tamarisk tree which later provides the manna in the desert.
Commentary is uniquely structured for young adults with notes for adults that will grow with the reader.
